Language Arts January 30-February 3

7th graders are finished with The Pigman and will be writing their persuasive essay on their chosen topic.

Having to write on something that appeals to the student invites engagement and sometimes a bit more knowledge on the subject which would make researching for the information much more enjoyable for the student.  Also, students will delve deeper into the literary devices in preparation for the poetry unit.  Again, writing poetry by using literary devices helps with creativity even if the student doesn’t think of him/herself as very creative.
