MUSIC 7 (March 28 – April 1)

Let´s celebrate the International JAZZ DAY! (April 30, 2016)

The Discovery Jazz Wolves will be performing at the Spanish Language Celebration closing ceremony. We will upload the video of that performance to the UNESCO platform to contribute to the celebration.

During this week , the students will be working on easy and simple guitar exercises using different genres such as: Spanish Flamenco, rock ‘ n’ Roll , and blues.

Language Arts March 29 – April 1

7th graders will brainstorm for a series of short poetry writings involving visuals or images using rhymes. Where the Hiakus confined them to syllables and lines, this style of poetry gives them more room for written expression yet in rhyming form. Their homework on Wednesday will be to brainstorm 2 visuals and 2 images to formulate rhymes. Students will also continue reading the book The Outsiders. No test/quizzes.

P.E Class this week March 29-April 1 , 2016

I Would like to remind parents to send your children dressed in an appropriate way for the days that they have P.E.class:

– No dresses for the girl

– No jeans

– No crocks

– No Sandals

– No boots

-No Converse(All Stars)

Children who are not wearnig the appropriate clothing will not be allowed to participate in P.E class.

Goals:  We will use the word R. E. S. P. E. C. T. to set the main goals for the year.
